Carp on the Fly

The speaker for the August Program Meeting is John Hendrickson. John will speak on a true sport fish, the common carp.  "Sport fish" ..... Meaning nobody is going to have to tell you this a case of "catch and release"!!!  But what other local fresh water fish can you pursue all year long that is both difficult to catch and will entertain you with a fierce fight?

John began his interest in fishing for carp in his childhood days growing up in the Three Rivers area of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. So if you want to add one more fun type of local fly fishing to your fly fishing interests, come have John show you another use for your bass rod.
